When I approach a new operational framework, I start with deep understanding of the organization — what we want to accomplish, what change we can anticipate, and most importantly where we want to be — because when the system is up and running, it guides us (not the other way around).
I have built operations systems scaling two-person teams to thousand-person communities.
FoodSocial now has an operations home for thousands of brands and creators, and pieces of content, and dozens of complex campaigns. FoodSocial also has a home for its roadmap and strategy, easily accessible and adaptable.
Dreams Never Die required two main operational homes: one for the catalog, and one for the community. And they had to talk to each other.
